A Eulogy of My Super

Promises of high returns 
But not one cent has been accounted for 
But he is an honest man 

The promise of being looked after
But no paperwork in sight
But he is an honest man 

Money invested based on trust 
But he has not shown he’s trustworthy 
But he is an honest man 

Money has been invested in year-long projects 
But now projects are years long
But he is an honest man 

He gave his word to return the money 
But only on his terms 
But he is an honest man 

He said I didn’t need a loan deed
But how will I know where my money is invested?
But he is an honest man 

He said he’d never run off with my money 
But he knows many gangsters 
But he is an honest man 

He said he can’t pay now - he has no money 
But he owns three Harleys and once offered over half a million dollars to buy a yacht 
But he is an honest man 

I, a powerless beggar
What recourse do I have 
For he is an honest man

“I Know Allah Better Than All of You”

  “I Know Allah Better Than All of You” Faiyaz M. Khan The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu alayhi wasallam , said: “I am most God-fearing, and know Allah better than all of you.” [1] When the Prophet uttered these words, he was not boasting – he was stating facts. This is because Allah says in Surah Fatir: “Those who truly fear Allah among His servants are those who have knowledge.” [2] The servants mentioned here refers to the prophets and messengers of God, as they are the only ones we can be certain have knowledge about Allah and His religion. This is further substantiated by ayah 23 which mentions the Prophet as the bearer of good tidings and a warner: which fits in with knowledge and the fear of God.
